Magdalena Phatty
Although Magdalena is fairly new to the Helen Allison team, her career within education began 17 years ago as a teacher of Classics and German language.
Throughout those years, she worked within both the primary and secondary sector as a teacher and a leader in a range of contexts, which has led her to believe that working with children every day is a privilege like no other.
Magdalena has been involved in most areas of school life with a strong focus on the development of curriculum design, assessment and the engagement between parents and stakeholders. The opportunity to work with different stakeholders and in various settings has enabled her to develop professionally, gaining a range of qualifications with the recent being the National Professional Qualification for Headship.
Magdalena possesses extensive experience in developing classroom practice and improving teachers’ subject knowledge to enhance learning by providing a more cohesive and meaningful experience for all learners. For her, one of the most satisfying features of school leadership has always been the different opportunities which allowed her to contribute more significantly to the development of the pupils in her care, where their needs are catered for, their uniqueness respected, whilst being in an environment where they feel safe and valued. Her vision of being able to ensure that parents feel confident about the quality of education given to their children is her driving force in any endeavour that she takes.
