I have been working with people with autism for 10 years, and completed my Masters in Autism in 2014 with a particular focus on Intensive Interaction. Intensive Interaction helps people with autism develop social communication in a naturalistic way. I am an Associate of the Intensive Interaction Institute (www.intensiveinteraction.co.uk) where I am a member of Dave Hewett's team. I increasingly work with families, training and mentoring them in the use of Intensive Interaction, which helps people develop social skills and communication skills such as enjoying being with other people more, and make emotional connections. The approach has a positive impact on social, intellectual, emotional and psychological development. My role also includes, giving training courses in the United Kingdom (UK) and other countries, workplace hands-on consultation, writing articles, books and training materials.
