We provide a full induction and training programme, regular one to ones, annual appraisals, and the support you need to develop and progress your career. If you are working in one of our schools or services we'll also tailor your learning to make sure you have all the skills you need to support autistic people. Everyone at the National Autistic Society receives training in autism awareness and understanding. We take pride in the investment we make in all our people's professional development.

Qualifications

If you are in a support worker role, within your first 12 weeks with us, we’ll pay for you to complete the Care Certificate. It's essential for anyone working in health and social care. You’ll also have the chance to complete other relevant awards and diplomas, too. Many of our managers started in junior roles and have progressed following training.

E-learning

We have award-winning e-learning and this is how you’ll complete most of your required training, and find additional courses such as time management and handling conflict. We’ll also tailor your learning to make sure you have all the skills you need to support  autistic people.
