Main information
Type of service: Suppliers of products
Dogs for Good is an innovative charity, exploring ways dogs can help people overcome specific challenges and enrich and improve lives and communities. Dogs for Good trains dogs to help people lead more independent lives at home and in the community. There are two services to support families of a child with autism and help the whole family lead a less stressful, more fulfilled life: 1. Assistance Dog: a specially trained assistance dog transforms the lives of families of a child with autism, helping a child remain safe, calm and focused in busy places 2. Family Dog: our workshops provide advice on obtaining and training a pet dog and on-going support for families of a child with autism. A dog communicates in simple, consistent messages which can help some children with autism. A trained dog can remain calm in busy environments, helping a child to feel relaxed and safe. A dog is a constant focus for a child in unfamiliar environments and thrives on routine, which can provide a structure for a child to follow..
