The NAS Employment Training and Consultancy Service provides a wide range of services to employers, organisations and employees across the UK; Consultancy service - we offer specialist guidance on inclusive procedures, practices, and reasonable adjustments to enable employees with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD - which includes Asperger syndrome) to achieve their potential in the workplace. Areas of expertise include: recruitment, appraisal and performance management issues, outplacement solutions, bespoke training packages; Workplace assessments - Our specialist consultants untangle disability issues and management issues in a comprehensive review of the workplace situation of an employee with an ASD. We provide a detailed written report recommending reasonable adjustments and adaptations to not only meet your statutory requirements under disability and employment legislation, but to achieve best practice in workplace diversity; Workplace support - We provide non-managerial support, advice and guidance for employees with an ASD. Our consultants visit the workplace at agreed intervals and assist the person with an ASD, their line manager and other relevant colleagues as necessary; Training - We design and deliver bespoke training packages for HR professionals, managers and colleagues, and also run the following regular one-day courses. We have worked with a wide range of organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors, from companies such as Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young and IBM, government agencies such as the Foreign Office, Department of Health and the British Library, through to various small businesses and local enterprises. We are an accredited Department for work and Pensions (DWP) provider and can provide services through the Access to Work scheme. For employers: Understanding ASDs; Managing an employee with an ASD; and Recruiting staff with an ASD. For employees with an ASD: Communication skills; Personal organisation skills; Anxiety management; and Assertiveness.
