Type of service: Assessment, Nursery and pre-schools, Outreach - education, Family support and information services

Edinburgh Visiting Teaching & Support Services (VTSS) work with children and young people who have a disability. We support children from birth and throughout the school years. We provide a range of services including pre-school home visiting support, support for children with sensory disabilities, and teams for children with challenging behaviour communication needs. Spectrum is an visiting service for families and carers within the City of Edinburgh who have a pre-school child with a diagnosis, or in the process of investigation of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They are a multi-disciplinary team that aims to provide appropriate intervention in the early years. The team works together to assess the needs of the child and to tailor a programme to suit the needs of the child. Spectrum is part of the Edinburgh Visiting Teaching and Support Service.
