Alan Shearer Specialist Residential Home
Main information
Type of service: Residential services, Supported living schemes
Alan Shearer Specialist Residential Home is staffed and designed to serve the complex needs of adults with disabilities and challenging behaviours. Here we have created an enabling environment, using a person-centred approach, by working with families, carers and other professionals so that residents feel happy and comfortable in their own home surroundings. We provide a safe and nurturing setting where disabled residents have free and full use of all the leisure, therapeutic and learning facilities of our on-site Alan Shearer Activity Centre. Regulated by the Care Quality Commission, the Alan Shearer Specialist Residential Home offers longer term accommodation for up to six individuals with the support of an experienced staff team, skilled in looking after people with a range of disabilities. In addition, our staff receive specialist training in caring for people across the autistic spectrum and for those with varying degrees of epilepsy.
