Alfreton Park caters for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. 60 per cent of our pupils are also with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our pupils are educated in mixed classes. We use Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and a range of approaches to support our pupils with an ASD. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
