Amanda Hind is a qualified teacher and has taught in primary, secondary and special schools. She has a son with Asperger Syndrome and was diagnosed with Asperger's herself as an adult. Her services include speaking at seminars and conferences, running training sessions for professionals and parents, and providing support (including mentoring) for individuals and families affected by autism. Her training and support ranges from general autism awareness to specific topics such as understanding sensory sensitivity, how to prepare for interview, how to support students or employees with autism etc. She also offers a bespoke service, which is tailored to meet the specific requirements of individuals or groups. Her services are enhanced by using real-life examples to illustrate some of the effects of autism, and to provide practical tips and ways forward for the attendees / participants.
