Aberdeenshire Autism Information Base (AAIB)

The Aberdeenshire Autism Information Base (AAIB) is based at the Harlaw Centre and aims to raise the profile of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in Aberdeenshire by providing free information and resources to individuals on the spectrum, parents/carers and any member of the general public with an interest in autism. It contains a collection of books, journals and general information leaflets on ASD. It also has a computer with internet access to a range of online resources.
Staff at the AAIB will provide an information/enquiry service. It is manned during Harlaw Centre's open hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12 noon, 2pm to 4pm and Friday 9am to 12 noon, 2pm to 3.30pm. Please call ahead and make an appointment to guarantee seeing a member of staff.
Aberdeenshire Council is working on a multi agency basis with specialist local and national organisations involved with Autism and ASDs. The National Autistic Society, Autism Initiatives, The Grampian Autistic Society, The Scottish Society for Autism, VSA and NHS Grampian.
