Accepts referrals where there is a query of PDD. In addition, these children may have any of the other disorders listed. Children are assessed for PDD (ASD) with or without co-morbidity.

Assessment procedure: ADI; ADOS; family history; medical history of patient and medical check; plus psychometric assessment (IQ & ability, etc). Sometimes shcool observations also undertaken.

Follow up service: Yes. Liaison/advice on management/treatment/educational needs to local services.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes: clinical psychology; psychiatry; paediatrics; social worker.
