Type of service: Local Authorities
Bedford Borough Council is committed to working with its communities and partners to improve local quality of life. Working together with our partners as part of the Bedford Borough Partnership, we are determined to make the Borough a better place to live, work and visit. We became a Unitary Authority on 1st April 2009 and provide a vast range of services for over 157,800 residents and 65,000 homes in Bedford, Kempston and 45 parishes.
We have a wide range of services that support adults with disabilities, their families and carers in all aspects of their lives, from information about services to direct access to day opportunities, education, advocacy groups, housing and employment support. All of our services are supported by friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff who are motivated to support and care for adults with learning disabilities across Bedford and North Bedfordshire.
