Brief Therapy Support Services Ltd provides a diagnostic and counselling service for people with autism or Asperger syndrome. It provides solution focused support for adults with: mental health problems; learning disabilities; autism/Asperger syndrome; dementia; carer stress; staff management; and acquired brain injury. Solution focused support involves understanding what people want to change in their lives and noticing existing strengths and coping skills that will help them reach their preferred future. Brief Therapy Support Service provides: tailored workshops for family carers and / or paid carers; tailored workshops about autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) for professionals; individual support for people with Asperger syndrome and autism; and counselling/therapy. The service is able to help with specific co-morbid mental health issues as well including schizophrenia and psychosis. It also provides a diagnostic service..

Assessment procedure: Brief Therapy Support Services Ltd uses the Adult Asperger Assessment along with observations of an individual during the interview, and where possible a history of the person's development from a family member or friend. The assessment interview usually takes about 2 hours to complete.
