Barnardo's North West Fostering Service
Main information
Offers family-based care for disabled children with significant intellectual, physical and/or medical impairments aged 0-18 years, who are unable to live with their birth family on a full-time basis. Foster carers must be over 21 years of age. Enquiries are welcome from single people or married or unmarried couples, with or without children. The service includes: Long Term Care, where a child or young person lives with the carer(s) on a long-term, full time basis; Short Term Break Care, where carers are linked to a child or young person for up to 28 days a year; Shared Care, where a child or young person lives with the carers for a minimum of 120 days a year.
