The name of the autism spectrum condition (ASC) specific group for children with an ASC is the ASC provision. Pupils with ASC may be educated in either a mixed group or an ASC specific group known in school as ASC provision. Clare Mount Specialist Sports College caters for pupils aged 11-19 years with a moderate learning difficulty and/or an additional need such as autism. All pupils have a statement of special educational need (SEN). Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. The school uses the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework in part.
