Main information

Type of service: Respite and short breaks

Quarriers Countryview service offers regular short break care to families who are caring for a child aged 5 to 18 years with a learning disability. We have 8 beds in a purpose-built bungalow - the accomodation is fully accessible and offers single bedrooms, a multi-sensory room with tactile play equipment, lounge, shower room, bathroom, kitchen and large enclosed garden. Each family has different needs and therefore a programme tailored to their individual needs is provided. The level of respite can be from as little as 14 nights per year to monthly respite of 56 nights per year. In addition, up to 14 night's holiday can be included in the programme. Countryview accepts referrals from any local authority though the majority of children come from Central and Western Scotland. Self-referrals with private payment may also be accepted.
