Caerphilly Children's Centre aims to provide high quality medical, therapy, play and support services to families when they first discover their child has a disability and to support them as their child grows into adult life. Opened in 1990, the Caerphilly Children’s Centre is a multi-agency Action for Children project that is currently in contact with over 800 families of disabled children living in the Caerphilly Borough. The ISCAN (Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs) at the Centre processes referrals from Health, Social Services and Education and meets weekly at the Caerphilly Children’s Centre to decide which services would be appropriate for the children being referred.
