We are a maintained special school with Science College status and special educational needs (SEN) (physical and sensory) specialism. We do not have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as part of our admissions criteria but about 50 per cent of our pupils are on the autism spectrum. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils with appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
