All learners with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are educated in mixed groups. These groups cater for the full range of needs found in school for learners with complex needs such as severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Glenwood School offer the following approaches and programmes: Home Intervention Project, and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped CHildren (TEACCH), Team-Teach, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy.
