Located in the centre of Caerleon, Glynhir and Pentwyn are two individual services in separate semi-detached houses that together form a Victorian style house with mature gardens. The two services combined provide domiciliary services for eight adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. All individuals have a tenancy agreement and are supported with daily living activities and the maintenance of their tenancy. In Pentwyn, the ground floor consists of a large lounge and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, separate utility room and a large bedroom. The first floor has three spacious bedrooms and a stair lift is available to ensure individuals with a physical disability have access to the first floor. The layout in Pentwyn is similar; the ground floor consists of a lounge, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, separate utility room and one large bedroom. The first floor has three bedrooms, shower room and WC. Both services are fully equipped to give the best quality of support whilst providing a comfortable domestic environment. Each individual is actively engaged in life within the service and also within the local and wider community. There is a strong focus on community access and local amenities are utilised to promote independence. Glynhir and Pentwyn are situated within walking distance of village shops, public houses, parks and churches; they are also on the main bus route to Newport and Cwmbran.
