Kingston House

Main information

Type of service: Residential services

This Consensus service offers accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities and associated complex needs. The property has three floors and a lift provides access to the first floor. There are nine bedrooms, a lounge, dining room, accessible kitchen and a private garden at the rear of the property where individuals enjoy BBQ's and outdoor activities in the warmer months.

Kingston House is situated within a short drive to the seafront of Leigh-on-Sea and is within walking distance of a number of local amenities, such as shops, cafes, restaurants and hairdressers. Individuals using the service are supported to actively engage in community life and utilise facilities such as the local theatres, bowling alley and cinema. Some individuals enjoy attending college and others are supported to play a role in the upkeep of the service, including assisting with preparing their own meals, shopping and general domestic house work. The service has its own transport that is used to take individuals on day trips or visits, enabling people using the service to engage in community life as much or as little as they wish.
