The service provides a psychological contribution to Lambeth Autism & Neurodevelopment Diagnostic Service (LANDS) for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This includes delivering highly specialist assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and cognitive assessment as part of the diagnostic process. It provides feedback to parents around the diagnosis and support available. It provides teaching, training & consultation including facilitating the LANDS parent group and teaching to other professionals on autism.
Assessment procedure: ADI, ADOS, Psychometry and SALT assessment.
Follow up service: Yes, follow up leading to other referrals, psychology intervention for mental health issues, parents group.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: clinical psychology, paediatrics, speech and language therapy.
