Medina House School
Main information
This is a primary special Local Authority (LA) school for severe and complex needs. Pupils with severe autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are taught in ASD groups using the Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped CHildren (TEACCH) system and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). When appropriate they are moved into core groups. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. These pupils requiring work experience of pupils with special needs as part of their training.
