The name of the unit for children with special needs is Millfield Autism Base. We are a 10 place unit on a mainstream primary school site for Key Stage 1 (KS1) and KS2 pupils. We offer permanent places. Children can be educated in the base and we aim to include children in mainstream classes for at least 50% of the time. Children will have access to the full curriculum. The staffing is 5 adults, 1 teacher, 1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and 3 Teaching Assistants (TA).
