Type of service: Diagnostic services

Nottingham City Asperger Service carries out research and evaluation on an ongoing basis and provides training and consultancy. The Team may also offer support to young people in transition from 16-18 years if clinically appropriate as well as adults without learning disabilities. General Practitioner (GP) and Tertiary service referrals accepted.

Assessment procedure: Interviews and observation using formal and informal assessment tools.

Follow up service: All clients are given appropriate support pre and post diagnosis.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and Social Inclusion.

Age: For people of any age

Aimed at: Adult

Referral Sources: NHS Only
