NAS Lambeth Family Support is a project set up by The National Autistic Society (NAS) to provide information, advice and support to the parents and carers of children and young people with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) living in Lambeth. The service provides advice, information and suggestions to help with the behavioural, emotional and practical challenges that living with a child or young person with an ASD can present. This service offers: Home visits to families of children aged 0-14 years to discuss diagnosis, rights, entitlements and benefits and services available to the family; Monthly Drop-ins: for families of children 0-19 years to discuss challenges at home including educational/behaviour issues; Quarterly Dads Club: for dads and male carers. Includes topic based discussions and lunch; Workshops: half-termly based topics such as behaviour, anxiety, sleep, based at different children's centres; Family outings: organised activities and outings for families in the Easter, summer and Christmas holidays; and EarlyBird: Once a year it runs EarlyBird plus courses for families living in Lambeth.
