The Nottinghamshire Adults with Asperger's Team supports adults with Asperger Syndrome, their families and carers. The Team can offer: Advice and assistance in obtaining a diagnosis; Community Care assessments; Carer's assessments; Care management co-ordination of support; Social and emotional support from the Team and signposting to befriending services; Advice and assistance in obtaining the correct benefits; Advice and assistance with accessing further education and employment opportunities; Assistance with finding suitable accommodation and related support; Advice and assistance in making the best of leisure facilities; Sign posting to self-help groups for people with Asperger's Syndrome and also groups for their families/carers.
