Sense Scotland works with children and adults who have complex support needs because of deaf-blindness or sensory impairment with other difficulties. In doing so they also work closely with families. They also work with children and adults who have: impairment to sight, impairment to hearing, learning disability, physical disability, health care needs, challenging behaviour and combinations of these. Use of art and music is extensive but not structured as therapy. They also offer supported living, respite, family support and information, outreach and a range of services. Volunteers can be accepted to work with service users and referrals can be made by Social Services, Health, Education, other voluntary organisations and families themselves.
