Sandsground is a large bungalow just on the outskirts of the village of Highworth, approximately four miles North East of Swindon, providing 24-hour residential care to three adults with severe learning disabilities and associated complex needs. Two of the three bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, one of which has been modified and enlarged to specifically meet the individual needs of the service user; in addition, there is a shared bathroom. Sandsground also has a small, quiet lounge, a separate sensory room, and lounge that leads into a conservatory/dining room and the small, safe, sensory garden area. In the back garden there is a heated summer house that is used for craft and various activities, as well as by individuals who may want to relax. Although the house is on the route of a regular bus service, it also have its own transport for leisure, recreational and educational trips and activities in the community.
