Saxon Mount Community School
Main information
Saxon Mount Community School is a special school for pupils who have autism, communication and general or global learning difficulties. We have many pupils with a diagnosis of autism throughout the main part of the school; they are taught alongside their peers in groups of no more than 10. We have the Additional Support Facility (ASF) with 4 classes of 7 children who have higher levels of learning and communication need, often with autism. We also have the Additional Support Team who work on a range of planned, intensive interventions to support pupils who have difficulties in the social use of language, maintaining friendships and managing their anger.
