Shropshire Spectrum Support Group

Main information

Shropshire Spectrum Support Group meets at the Lord Hill Hotel, in Shrewsbury, on the 1st Thursday of each month from 8pm-10pm. Spectrum is run by Parent and Carer Council (PACC) as an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) specific Oasis group, although a formal diagnosis is not essential to attend. These meetings bring parent carers together to share their experiences. Each meeting is supported by a trained PACC befriender and offer an opportunity for parent carers to provide advice, support and information to each other. The focus of the meetings is to provide a safe environment where parent carers feel that their experiences and concerns are understood, there is no need to book to attend. Follow link for more details: http://www.paccshropshire.org.uk/#/oasis-groups/4569738873 Spectrum meetings regularly feature speakers on various relevant subjects, plus we are often joined and supported by members of the Autism West Midlands, PACC & Parent Partnership teams.
