St Andrews caters for children and young people with additional support needs, aged 3 to 18 years. At St Andrew's school everyone is considered an individual with potential to be realised, strengths to be recognised and needs to be met. Within the school there is a developmental nursery and a secondary access base as well as a specific autism provision which consists of two specialist classes - P1 to P3, and P4 to P7 respectively. Each class has its own teacher and auxiliaries. There are children throughout the school who have autism covering a wide range of the spectrum. They are supported both by the staff from the unit and school as a whole who have a high level of awareness of their needs. The school uses the SPELL framework.
