The Hollies School is a Local Education Authority (LEA) primary school which caters for children diagnosed with autism spectrum condition (ASC) with a department for children who are physically challenged. We offer a range of ASC specific interventions including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)/Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH)/Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Support (SCERTS)/Intensive Interaction as well as a range of other complimentary supports - Touch Therapy/Massage/Rebound Therapy/outdoor learning and Forest School. We are also able to offer After School Club provision. A multi-disciplinary team of Health Authority staff are based at the school including Nursing Staff/Speech and Language Therapy/Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy. Social Communication Interaction and Play (SCIP) Outreach Team is based at the school and provides support for children based in mainstream schools who are referred by the LEA.
