The Red House
supports up to five children and young people aged between twelve and nineteen
years. We provide an all-encompassing care package which embeds the Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) model and the Safe,
Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected,
Responsible, Included (SHANARRI) wellbeing indicators into direct practice,
this is delivered by a team of specialist trained staff members who are highly
experienced in the management of children and young people with complex needs
and who present with behaviours which challenge. We are able to provide short
term crisis intervention with a clear emphasis on assessment of need and level
of risk. This is compiled in collaboration with our clinical team who can offer
one to one consultations with young people, all assessed needs are identified
working in partnership with external agencies. Longer term placements are also
available which focus on developing skills for independence. The Red House
takes pride in a committed staff and management team who provide a safe and secure
environment in which young people's physical, social, psychological and
recreational needs and choices are promoted in a person centred approach.
Regular assessments of need are systematically reviewed for all young people,
thus ensuring the service continually promotes individual choice and increased
opportunities, resulting in positive outcomes for the young people.
