TreeHouse School is a non maintained special school for children with a diagnosis of autism aged 3 to 19 years. It provides pupils with specialist, intensive and integrated teaching to enable them to achieve their potential. TreeHouse School is a non maintained special day school which uses a comprehensive model of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). The school teaches pupils using the principles of ABA to ensure that all pupils access a broad, balanced, relevant and functional curriculum, which includes an appropriately differentiated National Curriculum. TreeHouse School teaches over 80 pupils and employs 140 members of staff including qualified teachers, ABA professionals, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists. In 2012 Ofsted rated TreeHouse School as being ‘Outstanding in all four areas’. TreeHouse School has successfully completed the Autism Accreditation programme that provides an autism-specific quality assurance for organisations throughout the United Kingdom (UK) and across the world. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
