Together Information Exchange (TIE)

Main information

Together Information Exchange (TIE) is Doncaster's register of children with disabilities and additional needs, 0-19 years of age. The register contains confidential information on families with a disabled child, living in Doncaster. Families who wish to join TIE fill in a form giving details of the child and the family's needs, which is stored on a secure database and covered by the Data Protection Act. Once registered, a family will receive a free quarterly newsletter, regular mail shots about local services and updates on leisure services, including after school clubs and holiday activities and signposting to other services. It is hoped that people providing TIE with information about their situation will lead to a clearer picture of the main areas of need in Doncaster. Individual families are not identified in the production of statistics or service planning.
