The school caters for pupils aged 2-19 years and is a generic special school for pupils who have moderate learning disabilities (MLD), severe learning disabilities (SLD) and autism spectrum condition (ASC). Pupils with an ASC are educated with their peers; some may access the Autism Resource Centre for a daily session focusing on communication and interaction. We use a total Communication Approach using objects of reference, photos, symbols and signs. Recent building work has included a sensory room; Jacuzzi, science room, design and technology (DT) room, art room and music room. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Residential respite services are just for their own pupils.
