Butterflies Haven

Main information

Type of service: Local groups

Butterflies-Haven is a voluntarily run organisation which provides a safe environment for all family members who are affected by autism. We run weekly sessions for children to help them develop, learn new skills and express themselves more fully. We also provide somewhere for families to share experiences and provide each other with support. Our Monday Step-up group is aimed at young people aged between 12-17 years. The activities include games, cooking, computing, bowling and woodland crafts. Friday evening is aimed at young children and their parents. It includes freedom play, arts/crafts, and Dreams Room where children can be calm and feel safe. There is also a Parents' Snug where you can relax while your children play safely. We also have a Saturday morning session for members and non-members available to children of all ages..
