Great North Run

Charity places are available! Join Team Autism and raise vital funds for the National Autistic Society, whilst also helping to raise awareness of the great need for our cause.

About the event

The hugely popular run starts in Newcastle city centre, over the iconic Tyne Bridge, with the swooping Red Arrows overhead and onwards to finish with the sea views in South Shields. With the best local support, and famed for its party atmosphere, this is a truly classic and fantastic challenge to take on!

How to apply for a charity place? 

We would love for you Join Team Autism in the Great North Run and raise vital funds for the National Autistic Society, while also raising awareness of a great cause. To register for this event, please click 'sign up' at the top of this page and complete the registration form.

 

What if I have a place in the ballot?

If you've secured your own place in the Great North Run 2022 ballot you can still run for the National Autistic Society and get all the perks of joining our supportive team – we would love to have you!

All you need to do is complete our online form, to let us know that you have received your own place and want to use it to run for Team Autism!

How we will support you

We would love you to join our Great North Run team. Everyone who runs with the National Autistic Society receives:

  • our fundraising and training guide to help you every step of the way
  • dedicated support from the Events Team
  • a free running vest to show off your support for Team Autism
  • a warm welcome on the day from our events team.
