Great North Run reimagined 2020

The Great North Run cancellation means we can’t all get together to run the famous 13.1 mile route on 13 September, so the event organisers have launched a brand new campaign!

Great North Run Reimagined - a campaign to ensure runners and charities can still mark the occasion. It won’t be as good as the real thing, but we hope it will be an opportunity for us to still celebrate what would have been a great event weekend with you all! For more information and details on how to register, please see the simple steps below.

How to sign up

  1. GNR Virtual will be available to enter free of charge and will be open to everyone, regardless of whether someone had a place in this year’s Great North Run. Visit this page and register.
  2. Download the app to track your run and get the full experience (more information on the app will be provided in the coming weeks)
  3. Set up your fundraising page and let people know you’re supporting us so they can sponsor you. Follow our Team Autism Facebook page and share what you plan to do and see what others are getting up to!
  4. Complete your half marathon distance anywhere, at any time, on the 13th September!
  5. Spread the word on social media too and tag us too on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram – we’d love to see how you’re getting on!
