65a Newtown

Main information

Type of service: Day services, Outreach, Residential services, Supported living schemes

65a Newtown is a detached house with a spacious garden, close to the centre of Trowbridge. We are able to support three adults who have autism including those who may also have an associated learning disability. At 65a Newtown, we provide care 24 hours a day for those in our residential environment; however we can also offer support to people on an outreach basis. Our approach to support: At 65a Newtown, we provide a safe and therapeutic environment where staff members can support individuals to achieve their goals and develop their skills. Our staffing ratios are developed in line with the individual needs of the people we support, meaning that we can be flexible if people's needs change over time. When someone first comes to us for support, we will assess and identify the individual's needs and how we can best assist them. By creating a Person Centred Plan, our staff members will always know how each person wants to be supported whilst using our services. We can also offer day support to people who need it; again, this support is tailored to the needs of the individual. All individuals at 65a Newtown are encouraged to attend regular 'Your Voice' meetings where they can make suggestions and plans about the service they are accessing.
