Type of service: Diagnostic services

The clinic provides an ASD diagnosis service for children and adults. All clients have an initial telephone conversation and first appointment with our Autism Lead Psychologist. Once an assessment is completed, the client/family meet with their psychologist again to discuss the outcome, and the content of the formal report. Thereafter, psycho-education sessions are available to support families to understand and embrace new diagnoses, and these can be held in the home/community so that less mobile family members, teachers or work colleagues can attend.

'A Forward Step' also offers therapy services for adults and children.

Assessment procedure: ADI-R, ADOS-2.
