I am an independent Occupational Therapist based in
Plymouth, Devon and have 30 years' experience in mental health and in the last
25 years working regularly with those on the autism spectrum. I have an
interest in supporting all ages especially teenagers and young adults in
helping them optimise their functioning in all aspects of life. I am part of an
autism resource centre that offers bespoke training in work / educational
skills / courses. I am keen to both support and learn from those with autism to
them enable the public and educational facilities have a better understanding
and be better equipped to deal with the needs of those with autism. I have done
formal training in sensory integration and feel that increasing understanding
of this for the persons with autism and their carers/ families etc. can enhance
the quality of life and reduce stress / anxiety. My business is called
A.L-Therapies. I am professionally registered and also insured with College of
