Adcote School for Girls

Main information

Type of service: Day schools, Residential schools, Schools

Adcote is a small independent girls boarding school. Pupils with Asperger syndrome and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are welcomed into a family atmosphere. We are a non-selective school. Pupils with Asperger syndrome and ASD are taught both in a class situation and are withdrawn for specific 1:1 help with their difficulties, for example, social skills, friendships and relationships. Teachers at school receive regular updates to In Service Training (INSET) training on ASD issues. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. As we are a boarding school, we can accommodate most pupils easily.
