all in activity hub
Main information
Type of service: Play and leisure
'all in' activity hub offers adults (18+ years) with disabilities the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities within a fun and sociable environment. About Us: The activity hub is run by brothers James & Sean O'Connor. After completing University, we worked as Learning Supports assistants at the College of North West London, where we supported young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. This inspired James to become a qualified teacher. Activities: We are running activities in both Brent and Harrow. Both centres have a classroom and a cark park on site with easy access into the building for wheelchair users. Our Brent hub has access to a sports hall where students can participate in sporting activities. All of the activities are personalised, so that a person's specific learning needs can be supported. Everyone is encouraged to express, develop and learn new skills. Both male and female staff will be present to support students throughout activities. Activities include: Arts & Crafts, Music, Karaoke, Dance, Drama, Sport, Bingo, Film club, games, Board games, Puzzles, Nintendo Wii, Disco, Computer skills, Relaxation, Quizzes, Healthy living, Choice & Decision making, Relationships, Culture and Literacy & Numeracy skills. Application: In order to apply, please contact us by phone or email. We will then send you an application form to complete. If necessary, we will want to meet with parents/guardians and students before starting our hub. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the service users. We accept students from all backgrounds and council areas.
