If you are on the autism spectrum, or are a parent/carer looking after a child/adult on the autism spectrum, ensuring that individual rights are being met can be very demanding on your time and well being! Therefore the ASD Advocacy service will support and advocate on your behalf. .

ASD Advocacy can provide support in a range of different areas such as the following:.

• Seeking a diagnosis.

• Ensuring that your child's educational needs are met (Pre - school, primary education, secondary education and post 16 education).


.

• Assisting the process of social integration and life planning.


.

• Accessing health, social care and voluntary sector services.


.

• Overcoming barriers to employment and training opportunities.

.

Age: For people of any age

Aimed at: Adolescent , Adult , Child , Parent/carer of a child, Parent/carer of a young person, Parent/carer of an adult, Young person

Registrations & Approaches

Specialisms: Exclusively autism specific, Staff and volunteers get autism awareness training

Other specialisms: Community care, Education, Employment, Learning disability, Mental health
