Ashton House was originally opened in May 1991 by HRH Princess Anne as a residential home for four service users. In November 2002 it changed its remit to cater for three young service users with complex needs which has proved to be an excellent and very successful venture. The site is registered with Social Services under current legislation and the adult service is registered with the Autism Services Accreditation Programme.
