A new autism service has been set up by Signpost and NHS Lothian. The Autism Access Service offers support, information and advice to families following a diagnosis of autism in West Lothian.
This is a new service to support families with children up to the age of 8 years after diagnosis.
We aim to: provide a single point of contact for support and advice from Community Children's Nurse and Signpost; provide a structure for giving advice and knowledge in relation to autism spectrum disorders; facilitate referrals to other agencies/services; and offer specialist autism information and advice in relation to behaviour, sensory and communication issues.
