Established in 2002, our Autism Family Support programme (Formerly Children in Touch) now supports over 1700 families across Oxfordshire, and receives on average 20 new referrals per month. Autism Family Support Oxfordshire provides: Support and Information for parents; Activities and workshops for children & young people on the autism spectrum; and Information, training, and consultation with professionals, including joint working and development. The Autism Family Support team includes one fulltime Family Support Worker, Becky Loveless, who offers support to children aged 13 and under and their families. We aim to provide fun sociable activities for children and young people, as well as useful training on subjects we know young people want to learn more about. Sam Burkin joined us as Community Outreach Worker and she supports 14-25 year olds on the autism spectrum, and their families. As a small team covering Oxfordshire we enjoy working collaboratively with professionals from other settings in an effort to meet the increasing need for support to children, young people and families living with autism. We have developed a range of training courses and workshops to meet the needs of professionals, organisations, and the private sector across Oxfordshire..
