Type of service: Advocacy (general), Family support and information services
To provide advice, information and support to parents, carers and family members who have a child or family member with an autistic spectrum condition or who they feel may be on the autistic spectrum. The work will be delivered in a variety of settings and times to suit the needs and demands of the clients' family situation.
To raise awareness of autism and the issues that can face the person with a diagnosis and their families with representatives of the youth and community, social care and business sectors
Weekly drop in advice, information and support session at DY1 Centre in Stafford Street in Dudley. Fridays 10.00 am - 12.00 noon. This will provide a more relaxed atmosphere to put the client at their ease.
Individual intensive support by arrangement. These sessions will look in more depth and detail at the issues the client raises. With advance notice meeting rooms can be booked if privacy and confidentiality is required..
